During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry in Valletta, Minister Abela and Dr Jadou discussed the excellent bilateral relations between Malta and Palestine, noting that these relations can only grow from strength to strength. Dr Jadou thanked the Minister for Malta’s support for the Palestinian people, and their inalienable rights and aspirations.

Following this discussion, Minister Abela met with a group of seven Palestinian diplomats and civil protection officials, who are currently in Malta attending courses on Business English and Civil Protection. These courses were organised and financed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Employment and the Civil Protection Department, and are part of Malta’s efforts in support of capacity-building initiatives for the people of Palestine. Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Employment and the Civil Protection Department were also present during this meeting.
