Malta participates in the Schuman Parade in Warsaw

On 6 May the Maltese Embassy in Poland participated in the Schuman Parade organized ever year on the Saturday prior to the 9th of May, to mark Europe Day.

Ambassador Natasha Meli Daudey marched in the parade alongside the Head of the EU Representation in Warsaw, Mr Marek Prawda, as well as officials of the Schuman Foundation, and thousands of people particularly youngsters many of whom travelled to Warsaw for the event. As the Presidency of the European Union Malta was given greater visibility during the march, and the flags of Malta were carried alongside those of the EU and Poland. During the Parade, youngsters also wore T-shirts given for the occasion by the Malta Tourism Authority.

Participants of the Parade and Warsavians had the opportunity to learn more about Malta thanks to the Malta stand setup in the Schuman ville. Apart from information about tourism, people also had the opportunity to learn more about learning English in Malta. Visitors of the stand also had the opportunity to get to know more about Malta, the EU and the Maltese Presidency through interactive games on tablets.
