The Embassy of Malta today received a group of young students participating in a summer camp at Yuma Center.

Yuma Center is a center in DC, which works to encourage women of all ages to improve their education, work and home life with the aim to build strong families and communities.

This particular summer camp focuses on International Affairs and Human Rights, and the Embassy of Malta was specifically chosen for the deep history and culture Malta holds.

During the student’s visit at the Embassy, a presentation on Malta was given by Deputy Chief of Mission Ms Antonella Bajada, and a discussion was held with the students on the Maltese history and culture, Malta’s role in the Mediterranean, particularly on issues such as migration and the Southern Neighbourhood, and also on US-Malta relations.
