Scholarships in the Czech Republic for 2017 (for Maltese Citizens only)

The Czech Republic is offering 3 Maltese students the possibility of a scholarship at the 2017 Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies: Charles University (Faculty of Arts, Prague), Charles University Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies in Poděbrady, Masaryk University (Faculty of Arts, Brno), Palacký University in Olomouc (Faculty of Arts, Olomouc), University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Faculty of Philosophy, České Budějovice) and the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. The courses are held during the summer months (July-September), and their length ranges from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the course content determined by each summer school. They are open to who is interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture. These summer schools offer language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars on the Czech literature, culture and history, free-time activities including theatrical, musical and dance performances, trips, etc.

A student has to indicate the discipline in which he/she would like to pursue the studies and then Prague will assign them the most suitable university. The Scholarship consists or free board and lodging, full coverage of course fees and free access to cultural events which are part of the course programme. It does not however include travel to/from the Czech Republic and health insurance.
