Scholarships in Cyprus

(for Maltese citizens only)

The University of Cyprus is offering three scholarships for Maltese citizens to follow a MBA Program for the new academic year 2017-2018, as follows:

 

- One scholarship up to 100% of tuition fees

- Two scholarships up to 50% of tuition fees

 

Tuition fees of the MBA  Program of the University of Cyprus currently stand at 10,250 Euros.

The requirements for these scholarships include the following:

 

- Maltese citizenship

- Degree from a recognized academic institution or equivalent and excellent academic performance

- Three years of full-time work experience. Exceptional cases of candidates with less experience, who can   demonstrate significant potential for leadership and superior academic performance, will be considered.

- Proficiency in the English language (this is waived for candidates who hold a degree from an English speaking institution)

- Two recommendations from academics or people who can judge the candidate’s potential contribution to the Program

- Successful completion of a personal interview with the Admissions Committee.

 

The MBA Program holds the prestigious EPAS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The Program promotes the exchange of ideas through innovative teaching methods and state-of-the-art methodologies delivering individuals capable of promoting new business paradigms. The aim of the Program is to enable participants to become agents of change and implant new ideas into their organizations and the broader society.

Ministry For Foreign Affairs

Maritime Law Scholarships 2017/2018

(for Maltese citizens only)

Applications are invited from Maltese citizens for the 28th  course at the IMO International Maritime Law Institute, Malta to be held from mid-October 2017 to May 2018 .

The course is at postgraduate level leading to a Master of Laws (LL.M) and places particular emphasis on the international regulatory law relating to maritime safety and port protection of the marine environment. It also covers the commercial law aspects of shipping. A unique feature of the course is the provision of comprehensive training in the development and drafting of maritime legislation.

Persons already in possession of a university degree in law with a high standard may apply.

Application forms as indicated below can be downloaded from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs website http://foreignaffairs.gov.mt/en/PDF%20Documents/Scholarships%20Application%20Form.pdf and should be submitted with the other required documentation to the Scholarships Section at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Valletta from 8.00a.m. to 12.00 p.m and 01.00p.m. to 03.00p.m.

Applications from Government and Parastatal employees and from the Private Sector will not be considered unless recommended by their Head of Department/Parastatal Organisation/employer respectively.

Closing date for these scholarships is by not later than noon of Thursday 13th  April 2017.

Successful candidates may be required to enter into a contract to serve the Government or the Private Sector of Malta upon completion.

Late applications will not be considered.

The Board’s decision will be final.

Ministry for Foreign Affairs 

Scholarships offered by the Government of the People’s Republic of China for Postgraduate or Undergraduate Studies in any Discipline  2017/2018                                                                                                                                  

 (for Maltese Citizens only) 

The Government of the People’s Republic of China is offering 3 scholarships for the academic year of 2017/18 for Maltese students to study as graduate, undergraduate or visiting scholars at Chinese Universities. The expense of international transport should be borne by the students themselves.

All the qualified applicants should log on www.csc.edu.cn/laihua to apply online first.

All application forms as indicated below should be submitted to the Scholarships Section at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Valletta from 8.30a.m. to 12.00 p.m and 1.00p.m. to 3.00p.m.

 

(a)  a Curriculum Vitae

(b)  a copy of the degree(s) obtained;

(c)   a University/Faculty/School transcript detailing results and grades obtained;

(e)  two printed copies of Application Form For Chinese Government Scholarship together with Foreigner Physical Examination Form

(f)   applicants for postgraduate studies must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
