Travel Advice - 18/08/2017

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion advises all Maltese nationals to exercise caution when travelling to Spain following recent incidents in Las Ramblas area of central Barcelona and Cambrils.

Maltese nationals are urged to avoid the affected areas until the situation returns to normal. Maltese nationals are advised that there may be some disruptions to the public transport system, however the international airport in Barcelona is fully operative in order to facilitate departures.

Furthermore the Ministry wishes to advice all Maltese nationals in the areas, to follow Spanish government instructions and to follow closely media updates.
